As a Product Designer at Disney, I contributed to the Disney Launchpad Website and its Backend Administrative Flows, creating key Figma screens and and managing a component library. Disney Launchpad aims to uplift filmmakers from underrepresented backgrounds by offering mentorship, funding, and a platform on Disney's streaming services to share their unique stories.
The Matrix Feature
I developed a matrix to assist the product team in selecting the most suitable directors and writers for Launchpad on Disney+. This involved converting an Excel file into a Web Application. I created a comprehensive matrix that highlighted the key attributes of each candidate. The tool, initially an excel table for content evaluation, included rankings, titles, genres, summaries, and executive notes. The writers, directors, and executive assessments were used to determine who qualifies for the next round. Features were reformatted for the backend system after reviewing preliminary design iterations, leading to a final direction.
Several preliminary design ideas were presented and reviewed by our Product Team. We were able to proceed with the iteration that best fit their needs and expand on the selected design to include important features…

Additionaly, when Season 2 finalist were chosen, I utilized photoshop to create a default promo banner for the homepage including the final contestants and made updates to other key screens
